REVIEW: Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lip Potion Collection

This review has been a long time coming, because this was gifted to me by Boopy way back on Valentine’s Day, lol. Still, better late than never!

This is a 4-piece set of full-size liquid lipsticks. It retails for Php2850, which seems steep, but I find it acceptable for 4 full-size products from Estee Lauder.

As expected from a high-end brand, the packaging is luxurious and exudes sophistication with its navy and gold theme. It’s heavy enough that it doesn’t feel cheap in the slightest.

The colors that come with the set are:

  • 230 Wicked Sweet: a white-based, cool-toned pink
  • 430 True Liar: a deep violet
  • 330 Lethal Red: a blue-based red
  • 340 Strange Bloom: a burgundy red

Wicked Sweet was the only one that is streaky and difficult to get even on the lips. The rest were opaque and easy to apply.

The formula of these lipsticks doesn’t dry down completely, meaning you’ll get some transfer. It won’t wear all day, but that’s okay in my opinion because it’s so darn comfortable. I don’t mind retouching because the packaging is so pretty anyway. 🙂
As for the wear, it fades away evenly, no patchiness or crumbling.

I am quite happy with these lipsticks and I look forward to using them more.
