    Treat Yo Self: October 2018

October was a rough month for me: as I mentioned, I was dealing with a lot of problems. It got to the point where I was crying in the shower that I take before going to work.

I don’t have a lot of disposable income right now due to bills, but one week in October, I just said: screw it. I deserve to splurge at least a little bit to make myself feel better.

First, I got a gel manicure from Nail Tropics:

It has been a particularly rough couple of months. I’m dealing with a lot of personal problems, which leaves me too exhausted to even play with my cat. I’ve been feeling physically and emotionally drained.

    The story behind my tattoos

I have a couple of tattoos on my left hand and wrist. I posted a photo on Imgur and people were like, “Ew your tats are laaaaame.” I found it hilarious that they would judge me, a stranger, because they didn’t even know what these tattoos mean to me.

On the importance of kind words

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me.
So the saying goes. It’s garbage because I personally know many people who have been hurt by words alone, and also those who hurt other by speaking. The way we talk to each other has a powerful impact on the impression we make and the relationships we create and maintain.
